Writer, graphic designer, and video creator based in Berkeley, CA. Recent Chemistry graduate, too.

Intro

Originally from Mexicali, Baja California, I moved to the Bay Area to pursue a degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley. My interest in chemistry is greatly overshadowed by my love for the audiovisual and social, which are my lifelong passion projects.

Recent Work

Most notably, I have been writing, designing, and editing for the Heuristic Squelch, UC Berkeley’s oldest satire magazine, since 2022. In 2024 I became Editor-in-Chief, managing a team of 20+ creatives to publish our yearly issue in addition to the aforementioned.

My CV

I’ve run my own social media accounts since 2019, reaching over 50,000 TikTok followers within one year of starting. I achieved a monthly average of 1M+ views and 212K+ likes, generating over 18M total views and 1.9M likes in 2025 alone. I’ve worked closely with brands such as Chegg, Wella Professionals, about-face/af94, Half Magic, and more. Typically I post about the beauty industry and chemistry, but I am very familiar with entertainment-adjacent content.

All four years of my undergrad were dedicated to the Heuristic Squelch. The Squelch is UC Berkeley’s oldest satire magazine and successor to the California Pelican. Coming back from the pandemic meant I joined a magazine with only 3 other active members, thus leaving the responsibility of printing a 20-page magazine on very few shoulders. We powered through, I was promoted to Editor-in-Chief in 2024, and I grew a crew of over 20 creatives in every field, from writers to furry collaborators. Under my direction, the Squelch saw two magazine launches and our first launch party.

Additionally, I served as the Media & Publicity Committee Chair for the UC Berkeley American Chemical Society Student Chapter from 2023 to 2025. I launched the club’s first short-form content strategy which increased our Instagram engagement by over 300% in one month and facilitated our sale of over $1,000 worth of merch, designed by me and still sold now. I also began the tradition of a club yearbook, handed out to club members at the end of the academic year and mostly funded by merch sales. During my time there, I managed a team of over 15 artists, designers, and photographers, of which I mentored to become great leaders after me.

I briefly worked as a video producer and editor for UC Berkeley Law, where I recorded speaker events and panels hosted by student groups (averaging 2 hours each), edited the footage for Youtube, prepared the audio for Apple Podcasts, and transcribed the dialogue for ADA compliance.
